The committees IAPI has and their duties:
A. AUDITING: The auditing committee shall audit the books upon request of the board or just before a new treasurer takes office.
B. BYLAWS AND RULES: The Bylaws and Rules Committee shall have the responsibility of preparing proposed amendments to the IAPI Bylaws and Rules for publication.
C. COMMUNICATIONS: The Communications Committee shall be the public relations arm of IAPI. It shall publish a quarterly newsletter of the association to be distributed in March, June, September, and December unless otherwise approved by the Board. The newsletter shall carry the notice and information about the Annual Meeting and other information as directed in these bylaws or standing rules.
D. ETHICS: The Ethics Committee shall receive all grievances and complaints alleged member ethics violations of the Code of Ethics in strict accordance with the “Rules for Handling Complaints and reporting Ethics Violations” adopted by the IAPI and the parliamentary authority.
E. LEGISLATIVE: The legislative Committee shall monitor state legislative activities affecting the association and its work as well as other sources of news and shall report legislative updates to the association either through the newsletter or reporting at a regular meeting.
F. MEMBERSHIP: The Membership Committee shall recruit new members and send out welcome letters in response to new membership applications. The committee shall forward membership information to the newsletter editor for publication.
G. PROGRAM: The Program Committee shall plan the programs for the association’s regular meetings and the annual meeting, and other seminars or workshops as scheduled.
