Object of the Association
The object of the Iowa Association of Private Investigators shall be to promote interest in the field of private investigation through education and the demonstration of the highest standard of excellence by the members as defined in the Articles of Incorporation, Code of Ethics and the bylaws.
Membership is open to any owner/employee who has been issued a license as a Private Investigator or Private Investigative Agency under Chapter 80A of the Code of Iowa. Membership is also open to those licensed similarly under laws of other states. All membership is subject to the requirement of IAPI as outlined in the bylaws.
An applicant shall submit a completed, authorized application form to the Membership Committee accompanied with the proper amount of annual dues. After verifying the applicant’s qualifications, the committee shall present the application to the IAPI Board of Directors, who by majority vote, shall accept or reject the application.
